I was invited to meet Gatwick CEO Stuart Wingate and his team. I know that Gatwick has a huge impact on Dorking & Horley and I have already heard a range of views from residents on the plans to bring the Northern runway into use therefore increasing flights and passenger numbers.
My focus at the moment is getting all the facts and information around the proposals as well as understanding what they are doing for the community now in their current form. I know from working on Heathrow expansion that airports are complex from their economic modelling down to noise envelopes and biodiversity net gain.
I will be doing a lot of work on Gatwick but I would be most keen to get your views- do you support expansion or will the impact on your community be too much?
